What is the approximate burn time for your candles?

Depending on the specific candle styles you select and due to their hand crafted nature, the maximum burn time will vary. Pie Tart pan candles should enjoy 10 hours or more of maximum burn time. Candles presented in glass jars or tumblers should burn for a maximum of 20 hours or more. As per safety guidelines, candles should *not* be burned for more than 4 hours at a given time and wicks should also be trimmed to 1/4" prior to each lighting.

What are the safety considerations for candles?

To Prevent Fire or Injury: Burn candle within sight. Keep away from things that can catch fire. Keep away from children and pets. Never burn for more than 4 hours. Do not allow wick trimming to accumulate in wax pool. Place on temperature safe surface. Trim wick to 1/4" prior to each lighting. Container will be hot when candle is lit. Do not move candle when lit or before wax hardens. Stop use when 1/4" wax remains.

Why do candles presented in Pie Tart pans have a weight range of 5.25oz to 5.75oz?

As with all other offerings, candles in Pie Tart pans are hand crafted and created when a customer places their order. Unlike candles available in glass jars or tumblers, candles available in Pie Tart pans are embellished with many different accents including "crust", "fruits", and other wax-based decorations that do not always adhere to a specific size and weight. This slight variability allows the creative freedom to produce the unique candles that our customers truly enjoy!

Why does the cotton wick in my candle bend?

Some bending of the cotton wick in your candle is normal for providing sufficient oxygen to support an ideal flame. Excessive bending may result in the wick touching the wax or becoming submerged. If this is happening affirm that the candle is not lit and has cooled, then use a tooth pick to gently straighten the wick. If necessary, trim the wick to 1/4" before relighting.

The cotton wick in my candle has become submerged in wax and cannot be lit. What do I do?

Affirm that the candle is not lit and has been given adequate time to cool, then using a toothpick dig gently around the area of wax where the wick is submerged until it is visible and can be lit. Trim the wick to 1/4" if necessary.
